The PAAL Awards are national recognition awards for theatre institutions, companies, and organizations that engage in parent-inclusive practices. The awards are rolling and nominations stay open. PAAL will review each submission and notify theatres that qualify for inclusion on the awards list. Nominate your organization here.

SHOW YOUR SUPPORT for these organizations: like their social media page, visit their site, buy tickets, and apply for work. They’re ready to support parent artists.

(A separate page will be created for the larger area of Illinois State, excluding Chicago and its suburbs.)

Artemisia Theatre

“As a new Mom I was juggling a day job, a theatre career, a husband’s day job and also his performing career! Money is always tight for sitters and Artemesia let me bring my infant to rehearsal during a jam and also let my sitter hang with my babe in the lobby and around the theatre. At most any other work place, I would have felt very uncomfortable and unprofessional, but they were so supportive and understanding. It means SO MUCH to feel appreciated rather than feeling like a burden.” – Caitlin Chuckta, Actor
